Interior Designer/Sales Professional

Designer Warehouse, a local retailer of trending Home Décor and Furniture is adding the Norwalk Furniture Gallery to our showroom. We are expanding our staff and looking for an enthusiastic, fashion forward, creative sales professional with an interior design background. The ideal candidate will have a great sense of style, an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and great interpersonal skills. We offer a vast design library and great industry resources.


  • Greet customers and build rapport
  • Discuss customer’s needs and make product recommendations
  • Stay current with industry trends and manufacture introductions
  • Fabric, lighting, and wallcovering selections,
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up on orders and client requests
  • Create and rotate showroom displays
  • Jobsite visits
  • Additional design responsibilities dependent upon qualifications.


  • Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Interior Design and/or furniture sales
  • Good listening skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • AutoCAD proficiency preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Accuracy, with strong organizational and efficiency skills required
  • Effective people management skills

Senior Interior Designer

Kirkpatrick & Associates, Inc., a National Hospitality Interior Design and Procurement Firm known for design excellence is seeking a talented, Senior Interior Designer to join our Albuquerque, NM team.

Ideal candidate will be dynamic, have a strong sense of color and fashion, and will work well in a creative team environment. Travel to project jobsites, furniture markets, and trade shows is part of the designer’s responsibilities.   • Participate in project design development with Kirkpatrick & Associates team
  • Create detailed working drawings and digital color boards to support design concepts, lighting design, furniture layouts, carpet design, and finish placements
  • Coordinate and document material selections, finish plans, and FF&E selections and specifications required for Brand approval and project construction
  • Review drawings for code compliance as it relates to ADA and Life Safety.
  • Work with product reps, fabricators, manufacturers, and contractors to meet project objectives
  • Visit project sites to work with contractors and FF&E installers


  • Degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Interior Design or Architecture firm
  • NCIDQ certification is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Computer skills to include AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create high-end, creative interior detailing
  • Accuracy, organization and efficiency
